About the event
We are aware that over the last century, plastic has become part of everyday life. From bottles and bags to plastic pots, trays, and tubs our lives are full of it. And so is the ocean. FLUX invites family audiences to come and encounter Ceto: Goddess of the Dangers of the Sea who has returned to land to warn mankind about the most terrifying of monsters in her waters...plastic and persuade them to help her fight this most dangerous of threats. Ceto will encourage young people to take part in a Moving Science workshop which will combine movement activities with the key vocabulary used when discussing the impact plastic waste is having on our environment. FLUX hopes that this performance will get families thinking, talking, and acting on the part they play in our fight against plastic.
You can find Ceto at the Science and Industry Museum, Manchester on 21st November 2021, she will then be touring around the UK throughout 2022, visit movingscience.co.uk to find out more!
